ARTIST WORKSHOPS

FLORAL PAINTING WORKSHOP with DOMINIC THIAN

Join Dominic Thian for a floral painting workshop using oil paints! By the end of the workshop , you will have a better understanding of oils and how to paint a variety of subjects. You will get to bring home a completed still-life flower painting.

This workshop is intended for students who have some prior experience in painting. Over two days, you will be guided through small colour sketches to improve your visual acuity. There will be a 1-hour online lecture on the first week, followed by a full day of painting on the second week.

Students are highly recommended to attend a pre-workshop online briefing the week before, on 24th May Sunday. Where demonstrations and infographics will explain how flowers can be painted using fundamental basics of form and light.

In-person, we will discuss how to best use the full colour range of oil paints, with an emphasis on depicting still-life.
