CHINESE SEAL CARVING WORKSHOP
We are super excited to have Michelle Lim back again!
Michelle JN Lim is an artist, educator and curator who works with traditional Chinese stone seal carving. A former MOE educator and arts programme manager, she has been leading art experiences for all ages since 2013. Today, she brings the same sense of fun and care to her seal carving workshops, introducing this heritage craft as both a meaningful tradition and a hands-on way to create personal marks. In 2023, she curated Carving Possibilities, an exhibition of 300 seal works by 31 artists at the de Suantio Gallery at Singapore Management University, with a second iteration later shown at library@orchard.
SEAL CARVING WORKSHOP DETAILS

DONATE TO CARES JB
This year we’ve also chosen CARES JB (click to learn more about this animal shelter) as our adopted charity that we would love to help as we absolutely adore animals and would like to try our best to give these homeless animals a better life. All our artist-led workshops will come with an additional and optional $5 add-on option, of which 100% will go to the shelter. We will also match the amounts donated! The reason we chose CARES JB was because friends of ours (along with many other Singaporeans) volunteer there frequently and the animals at the Johor shelter are in need of a lot more funding and resources than the shelters in Singapore. If you would like to know more about the shelter or how else you can help please feel free to reach out to us too!
PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS
Check out previous editions of our artist-led workshops. These sessions are important to us and a way for us to support our friends and artists in the community. It was something that we set out to do when we started Arterly Obsessed and we’re so excited to be able to run these sessions. If you love art and want to learn from some amazing artists then come join in our next session!
