WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP
We are super excited to have Priscilla back again, (click to view her website) conducting our next artist led workshop!
Priscilla Tey (that’s me!) is an illustrator, multimedia artist and picture book author. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), she is internationally renowned for her picture books In-Between Things, Twitchy Witchy Itch and Counting in Dog Years, which were published by Candlewick Press (USA). In 2022, her book Counting in Dog Years (written by Betsy Franco), was featured in the New York Public Library’s Best Books List and her artworks were part of the jury’s selection for the 2022 Society of Illustrators (NYC) Original Art Competition.
Storytelling has always been central to Priscilla’s practice and she enjoys being versatile in the types of tales she tells and how she tells them visually. From picture books to packaging and large scale sculptural installation displays, Tey illustrates for various clients and brands, creating new visual experiences and narratives in traditional, print and digital media. She has previously created art for the SG Formula 1 Grand Prix, Porsche, HP, Singapore Tourism Board, Tatler Magazine, Capitaland and the National Gallery Singapore, to name a few. Her illustrations have also been internationally recognized by juries from the Society of Illustrators (New York, 2022) and Communication Arts (CA, USA, 2023). In 2024, her mural installation for the 2023 SG Grand Prix was shortlisted for a World Illustration Award under the site-specific category and further selected as one of the top ten finalists for the Cross-Category award sponsored by the Directory of Illustrators.

DONATE TO CARES JB
This year we’ve also chosen CARES JB (click to learn more about this animal shelter) as our adopted charity that we would love to help as we absolutely adore animals and would like to try our best to give these homeless animals a better life. All our artist-led workshops will come with an additional and optional $5 add-on option, of which 100% will go to the shelter. We will also match the amounts donated! The reason we chose CARES JB was because friends of ours (along with many other Singaporeans) volunteer there frequently and the animals at the Johor shelter are in need of a lot more funding and resources than the shelters in Singapore. If you would like to know more about the shelter or how else you can help please feel free to reach out to us too!
PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS
Check out previous editions of our artist-led workshops. These sessions are important to us and a way for us to support our friends and artists in the community. It was something that we set out to do when we started Arterly Obsessed and we’re so excited to be able to run these sessions. If you love art and want to learn from some amazing artists then come join in our next session!
